Marketing Director
Opportunity Overview:

Caribou Creek has been in business for nearly 40 years as the world’s leading Log builder, both residential and commercial. We are the top log builder for two main reasons; the quality of wood that we use and the level of handcraftsmanship that we employ. We mostly build projects in the northwest US, but have, and would like to continue to, build nationwide and globally. To date, Caribou has had success in gaining new customers mostly by word of mouth, however, this approach doesn’t allow for exponential growth, which is our objective to solve with this role of Marketing Director.

Responsible for:
  • Creating overall Marketing Strategy & Goals
  • Framing tactics to execute on strategy
  • Developing metrics to measure success on tactics deployed
  • Executing & refining tactics 
  • Auditing & adjusting preexisting Marketing means
  • Producing & maintaining a living Marketing calendar and budget
  • Defining our key customer persona types and locating their ecosystems of influence
  • Owning and shaping the Brand 
  • Finding and managing partnerships & influencers
  • Shaping unique Offers for Caribou’s distinct target audiences 
5+ Years Experience in:
  • Brainstorming with senior leadership to think big picture
  • Writing copy for emails, landing pages, websites, etc
  • Overseeing multimedia assets and campaign management
  • Managing content within platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc
  • Getting in front of prospects with who your products resonate
  • Measuring results on tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe, Hubspot, etc
  • Giving executive readouts of overall departmental metrics and direction

You are a person that has a successful track record of Marketing experience on a broad spectrum. You enjoy working on small teams to think big but can act nimbly and precisely. You are very autonomous, self driven and enjoy greenfield opportunities to build out a Marketing program yourself. You are well rounded and versed in implementing best practices for digital marketing. You are ok with being held accountable for results and you’re confident you can produce them. You love to shape a story of an amazing product; present it in a very appealing way to those who would be the most interested to hear it where they are most likely to receive the message.

Compensation:
  • Depending on the level of experience: $80,000 – $140,000 annually
  • 401k contribution up to 4% with your 5% or 3% for 3%
  • Medical Sharing health plan, Dental and Vision are partially covered by employer plus HSA contribution 
  • 7 paid vacation days per year plus additional accrued time as you work

This role is an in-office position located in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Reports to the General Manager.
