Often spiral staircases are the most efficient use of space in a log cabin. Sometimes we do find perfectly curved wood to fit the needs of a custom staircase, but that is rare. Most often our highly skilled craftsman manipulate the wood to create the sleek beautiful staircase supports. Traditional Staircases, Full of Rustic Charm
Sometimes a traditional staircase design is the best fit for the home and homeowner. Caribou Creek has the ability to source wood with incredible character which gives any staircase rustic appeal regardless of its layout.
One-Of-A-Kind Log Staircases
It is not uncommon for a customer to want a statement piece for their custom handcrafted log home. In many cases, that statement piece becomes the staircase. We have done some incredible one-of-a-kind staircases that usually use a unique piece of wood that couldn’t be created or duplicated.

This 5 story handcrafted spiral staircase is legendary! Because of our immense shop and multiple cranes Caribou Creek had the ability to make this truly unique centerpiece to an amazing home! We felt it was so special it deserved it’s own spotlight.
Coming Soon: Mirrored Sweeping Staircase
We are currently working on a project that incorporates matching sweeping staircases in the foyer. This home is modeled after the floor plan called “The Horsepoint” that incorporates this unique staircase design. We expect this home to be complete in the Summer of 2020 and will update pictures when we have them.
