About the Role:

This is the person responsible for taking a client’s vision and making it a reality. As a designer you will be responsible for the overall design of a client’s home. Which entails meeting with the client, to understand their vision. Drawing their thoughts and ideas in a way that is realistic and can be built within their respective budget. Managing all the smaller components within the project. The person in this position is responsible for ensuring the overall design complies with international and local codes. In this role you will also be responsible for reporting inefficiencies, in the design and BIM workflow, to the Design & BIM Manager. The person fit to fulfill this role must be able to use ArchiCAD; be able to read and interpret construction drawings; have an understanding of design and aesthetics; and have an understanding of architectural drafting.

Draftsman/BIM Engineer

About the Role:

This will be the person responsible for receiving and organizing redlines, drafting/modeling them according to Caribou Creek standards and producing floor plans, elevations, sections, details, etc. using the BIM platform ArchiCAD. This role also requires the utilization of Google Sheets, Google Docs, and on occasion Google Slides. The person fit for this position must be able to receive and interpret constructive criticism, have a general understanding of drafting, and a general understanding of buildings. The person fit for this position, will often be required to read and interpret blueprints/construction drawings.
