A Trip Down Memory Lane

Pictured above is Caribou Creek’s founder David Byler, standing in the interior of a handcrafted log home from the early ’90’s.

There are numerous log home projects built by Caribou Creek that don’t get the love they deserve because photography has improved so drastically making these archived images show their age. We decided, regardless of their out dated appearance, these pictures need to be seen, so what better place than our blog!

The Cashier Project - Early 2000's

This dream log home project captures the essence of early farmhouse decor with its dark stained walls and white kitchen cabinets. Crafted from the finest Douglas fir, this chink-style log home stands the test of time even if the pictures do not 😉 It is nestled in the foothills of Cashier, North Carolina and features a rustic staircase and beautiful stone fireplace.

Lakeshore Project - Late '90s

This custom log home, built in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is adorned with adorable wood carvings and custom creative accents throughout. Also featuring high quality Douglas fir with large diameter logs, this chink-style dream home features a stellar hand crafted staircase, custom carved cabinetry, and a gorgeous wrap around porch. The detail that went into this beautiful log home will be appreciated for years to come.

Blast from the Way-Back-Past!

Oh boy! These are certainly not some of our best images,  but this log house is still one of our great works that deserves some love! Between the blond cabinetry in the kitchen and pink tile in the bathroom this chink-style log home proudly shows her ’90’s flare. She was a modern beauty in her time and with the timelessness of logs on her side she can continue to be current with an interior remodel every once in awhile.

Rustic Cabin Project: A 2006 Relic Filled with Rustic Charm

Not every project Caribou Creek Log Homes does is a large home. Some of our best treasures were on the smaller side, like this adorable rustic log cabin. Despite its size, it is adorned with an antler chandelier and very unique appliances that create a charming rustic atmosphere.

The Bonners Ferry Project: A Timeless Golden Oldie

This project still ranks as one of the best of Caribou Creek Log Home projects. This chink-style large log home with expansive porch and classic charm is not only built with the finest craftsmanship it has a handcrafted built in bar and cozy stone fireplace. The large bay windows let in natural lighting keeping this classic beauty bright and sunny!

One Last Hurrah: Custom Boat House

This trip down memory lane would not be complete without this stunning custom boathouse built on the water. It’s unique design and easy boat access make it such a cool relic we just couldn’t keep it from this post. Sadly, we only have these two photos, so no fun video collage to see on this project.
